An international company has established a modern commercial pig farm in Uganda, including a breeding herd of 400 sows and a growing unit to produce up to 10,000 pigs per year for slaughter. We are looking for experienced and energetic staff to be involved in the business from the development of the farm to routes to market. We are recruiting for one position: - .
The company will be offering 400 sides of prime pork to the local and the regional markets every week, supplying to a broad range and type of customers from supermarket chains, meat processors, hotels, restaurants, butchers and the traditional Pork Joints!
The Manager will need to run social media campaigns to educate potential customers of the premium quality and value of the product and also share information about the many ways pork can be enjoyed.
The Manager will need to identify, engage with, and secure potential distributors and customers and then manage the relationships with key clients.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be a graduate in Marketing or Business Administration but graduates in other fields may apply.
Strong literacy, numeracy, computer and social media skills are a prerequisite.
Some prior strong relevant/related work experience is necessary.
The successful candidate will be based at the Kampala Depot and report to the Commercial Director.
A competitive performance related salary will be offered and will include
a rent allowance and medical insurance.
