JOB DETAILS:
MAIZE MILL OPERATOR – LIRA
Reporting To Production Officer/ Business Unit Manager, The Successful Candidate Will;
Key Result Areas:
• Operate maize milling machinery efficiently and safely.
• Monitor the milling process to ensure consistent quality and production targets are met.
• Adjust machinery settings as needed to optimize milling performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of milling equipment to ensure smooth operation. Inspect machinery for signs of wear or damage and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate records of milling production, including batch sizes, yields, and any quality issues.
• Collaborate with other team members to coordinate milling operations and maintain workflow.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Take care of machine maintenance.

Educational Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma or Certificate in Milling related field from a recognized institute.
• 2 to 4 years’ experience operating milling machinery preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production demands. Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret production schedules and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices preferred.

Skills & Professional Attributes Required
• Ability to operate maize milling machinery effectively, understanding of machinery mechanics and ability to perform maintenance tasks.
• Skill in ensuring maize products meet quality standards, knowledge of safety protocols for operating machinery.
• Ability to notice and address small details in the milling process.
• Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve issues during production, Proficiency in maintaining accurate production records.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals, Flexibility to handle changes in production demands.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
