Job Brief

The role of the machine Operator will be to operate machinery and equipment used in the production of products while observing safety and efficiency standards set to meet the Client’s product and production quality targets

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines by carrying out pre-operation checks before the start of production from shift changeover, to control the production of defects online.
  • Inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications like changing worn-out Teflon.
  • Carry out pre-operation checks before the start of production from shift over, to control the production of defects online
  • Monitor and check that equipment capacity meets the production schedule and targets.
  • Set up and operate the production machine by established procedures and guidelines; Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery; adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
  • Document production and quality records as required by the standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct sealing integrity checks on finished products, check for proper best-before-date print on packs, and monitor weights by company policy and procedures.
  • Perform minor adjustments and routine maintenance as per the operational manual.
  • Maintain a clean workstation and equipment and sanitize according to the cleaning schedule and procedures

Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma in food processing and or specialty in production line management
  • Two (2) years overall working experience in a related industry.
