Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Loss Assessor at Assiduous Claim Handlers Limited located in Kampala. As a Loss Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing and investigating insurance claims related to loss or damage. You will work closely with policyholders, insurance companies, and third-party professionals to determine the extent of loss, evaluate the value of the claim, and provide accurate reports and recommendations. You will also negotiate claims settlements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of at least three (3) years as a Loss Assessor or in a similar role
• Knowledge of insurance policies, claim procedures, and industry regulations
• Strong analytical and investigative skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases simultaneously
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor's degree, Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field
• Certifications or professional qualifications in loss assessment or insurance
