Job Summary
Prepare and verify shipping documents, track purchase orders, and ensure compliance. Coordinate and schedule shipments, liaise with freight carriers, and monitor transit status. Support warehouse operations by assisting in goods receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory management. Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and customers on delivery schedules and handle logistics inquiries. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and customs clearance for international shipments. Maintain logistics databases and generate reports on shipment status, costs, and inventory levels.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Roles;
1. Documentation
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (invoices, bills of lading, customs forms).
- Track purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation for compliance.
2. Transportation Coordination
- Arrange and schedule shipments (road, air, sea, or rail).
- Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and trucking companies.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve transit delays.
3. Warehouse & Inventory Support
- Assist in receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Conduct stock checks and update inventory records.
- Help implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) systems.
4. Communication
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and customers on delivery schedules.
- Handle logistics-related inquiries and complaints.
5. Compliance & Safety Checks
- Ensure shipments meet legal and safety regulations (e.g., hazardous materials handling). -
- Verify customs clearance for international shipments.
6. Data Entry & Reporting
- Maintain and update logistics databases.
- Generate reports on shipment status, costs, and inventory levels.
Requirements:
- Degree in Procurement and Logistics or related disciplines
- No Experience required, experience in logistics management is an added advantage.
