Purpose of the Role

To ensure efficient access to information resources, support teaching, learning and research, and provide strategic leadership for library services.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement library projects and programs.
• Develop library collections in consultation with academic departments.
• Chair Library Committee meetings.
• Monitor developments in information science.
• Oversee library databases and information systems.
• Coordinate with ICT and other information service providers.
• Support staff development and training.
• Supervise library staff and conduct meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science, Information Management, Records Management, Library Studies, or related field.
• At least 2–3 years' experience in library management or information services.
• Experience in cataloguing, classification, archiving, and information resource management.

Application Requirements

• Master's Degree in Library and Information Science or related discipline is an added advantage.
• Membership in a recognized professional library association is desirable.
• Experience in academic, research, public, or special libraries preferred.
