About the job
We are looking for a young, innovative, critical-thinking and proactive lawyer who is passionate about social change and justice and really just wants to make the world a better place!
• Role responsibilities
1. Interpreting and applying the law to help people resolve their legal problems
2. Conducting in depth research to produce quality legal information for the public
3. Conducting public legal education sessions to enable communities understand the basics of the law
4. Thinking outside the box on methods of improving and evolving the law into the next era
• What are we looking for in an applicant?
1. LLB and Dip. LP
2. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office and other online tools (expect to take a computing test)
3. Able to work remotely from home, work in the field and travel often
4. Beneficiary-centred approach: courteous, respect for diversity, tolerance, and service-mentality
5. Excellent research skills (demonstrated by provision of samples; preferably published)
6. Super passionate
7. Dedicated to personal development

• Location
Location would be primarily the Head Office in Ntinda, Kampala. However, there is lots of travel within the country involved, as well as the possibility of Working From Home.

Our belief is that everyone should know the law and understand how to use it to resolve their legal problems. Our work is to empower them with the law.
