Job Purpose
To overseeing daily laundry operations in the hotel to ensure efficient, high-quality, and timely cleaning, finishing, and distribution of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry.
A. Qualifications
• Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management, Housekeeping, or related field (preferred).
• Training in laundry operations, textile care, or cleaning chemicals is an added advantage.
B. Experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hotel laundry operations.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Proven experience handling commercial laundry equipment and stain-removal techniques.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate all laundry activities, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution.
• Ensure timely availability of clean linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry services.
• Monitor proper use of laundry equipment and chemicals in line with safety standards.
• Train, coach, and motivate the team to maintain high service standards.
• Monitor staff performance and address discipline or performance issues.
• Inspect finished laundry items for cleanliness, damage, and proper finishing.
• Ensure adherence to hotel quality standards in all laundry operations.
• Handle guest complaints regarding laundry services promptly and professionally.
• Maintain records of laundry chemicals, linen, and uniform inventories.
• Control wastage, reduce damage, and ensure cost-effective operations.
• Ensure staff comply with hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions and arrange for repairs or servicing.
• Enforce use of protective gear and safe handling of chemicals.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, and other departments for smooth linen flow.
• Support special requests (e.g., banquets, VIP laundry) in a timely manner.
