Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled land surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys, gather and analyse data, identify potential environmental concerns and any other related assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys to determine project boundaries, topography, and existing infrastructure.
- Gather and analyze data on water sources, drainage patterns, and surrounding land uses.
- Identify potential environmental or cultural resource concerns.
- Prepare survey maps and reports to support project planning and design.
- Provide survey data to support hydraulic modeling and design of water infrastructure (e.g., dams, canals, pipelines).
- Conduct hydro-graphic surveys to map water bodies, river channels, and lake beds.
- Determine water levels, flow rates, and pressure points.
- Assist in designing alignment and grading for water conveyance systems.
- Conduct stakeout surveys to mark project boundaries, alignments, and reference points.
- Monitor and verify construction progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Conduct as-built surveys to record completed infrastructure.
- Provide survey support for construction layout, grading, and excavation.
- Conduct periodic surveys to monitor water infrastructure condition and performance.
- Verify water levels, flow rates, and pressure points.
- Identify potential issues or hazards, such as settlement or erosion.
- Support maintenance and repair activities with survey data and expertise.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in surveying with at least 5 years of relevant experience, additional qualification in GIS and specific similar assignments in water projects.
- Demonstrate leadership and strong communication skills
- Be a team player and able to work autonomously with minimum supervision
- Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills
- The candidate should demonstrate professionalism
