Job Summary: The role holder will be responsible for supporting enhanced laboratory-based teaching and learning across academic programmes by ensuring timely preparation of practical sessions, effective management of laboratory resources, adherence to safety standards, and contribution to student instruction and academic activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up laboratory practical sessions
- Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory in good working condition
- Maintain and ensure adherence to laboratory safety standards
- Support students during practical sessions and support learning
- Track inventory and storage of laboratory supplies
- Contribute to teaching support, including tutorials where applicable
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Laboratory Technology
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage
- At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in an academic or training environment

- Ability to support and facilitate student learning
- Flexible and a good team player
- High level of integrity, reliability and attention to details
