JOB DETAILS:
Kitchen Stewards are the backbone of kitchen operations, ensuring that all areas are clean, sanitized, and organized. This role is critical for maintaining our high standards of hygiene and supporting the entire kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by hand or using dishwashers.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized at the end of each shift.
- Manage kitchen waste disposal and recycling.
- Assist with basic food prep tasks as directed by the chefs (e.g., peeling vegetables).
- Maintain cleanliness of storage areas and receive stock deliveries.
- Restock clean dishes and utensils in their appropriate locations.
Requirements:
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of the importance of cleanliness and sanitation.
