Job Purpose
To support the service and production team in the restaurant regarding general cleanliness and sanitation, the availability of equipment, and the preparation of stations for the service operation.
Key Result Areas
• Ensure the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and organized at all times.
• Spot cleaning in restaurant surfaces, walls, counters, and tables
• Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times.
• Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards.
• Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.
• Assist the Cooks and Servers as and when necessary.
• Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures.
• Dispose of waste as per the hotel and authority standards and adhere to recycling guidelines.
• Ensure the waste bin area is kept clean and tidy.
• Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of rubbish bins and boxes, ensuring placement in the correct containers
• Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the restaurant following established procedures.
• Cleans and maintains floors and walls in the kitchen and dishwashing area by following standard procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes and related service ware following established procedures.
• Cleans large equipment as assigned, following established procedures.
• Consistently adheres to SDS (Safety Data Sheet) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
• Knowledge and proficiency to operate industrial dishwashers.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order.
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

• Maintain a good decorum of the restaurant and behave in a professional manner
2. Hygiene and Personal Safety and SOPS
• Ensures working place remains tidy
• Respecting and practicing HAACP regulations
• Respects the safety guidelines of the equipment used.

Skills / Competence Requirements
Qualification/Education
• High school Graduate
• Ordinary level certificate -Minimum.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 1 + years of experience working as a F&B staff in a restaurant.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Experience working with cleaning supplies and chemicals
• Food safety oriented
Desirable/Behaviours
• Friendly nature
• Positive to go attitude
• To behave politely and courteously to guests.
• Positive attitude and good command of business language-English
• Good at organization and time management skills.
• Ability to stand long hours
• Ability to lift loads to 20 kg
