REPORTS TO: Senior Salesforce Administrator

JOB STATION: Kampala, Uganda (with 20% travel to operational areas such as Nimule, South Sudan, and Gulu, Uganda)

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Junior Salesforce Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will support the organization’s Salesforce platform by managing data, resolving technical issues, and enhancing user adoption. Your responsibilities will include configuring Salesforce tools, maintaining data integrity, delivering training, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement impactful solutions. You will also support organizational goals through field activities.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.0 User Support

  • Assist users with Salesforce-related queries, providing prompt technical support and resolution of issues.
  •  Conduct training sessions to enhance user adoption and proficiency in Salesforce tools
  •  Manage and resolve user support tickets, monitoring platform usage to ensure effective adoption.

2.0 Data Management

  • Perform regular data imports, exports, and cleansing activities to maintain system accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor data quality, identify inconsistencies, and ensure adherence to organizational data management policies.
  • Generate and distribute reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and organizational metrics to stakeholders

3.0 System Configuration

  • Configure Salesforce features, including page layouts, custom fields, flows, objects, and validation rules, to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Implement system enhancements to improve processes and user experience.

4.0 Documentation and Training

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
  • Deliver engaging training programs tailored to user needs, ensuring they maximize the use of Salesforce tools.

5.0 Collaboration and Engagement

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support the implementation of Salesforce solutions that optimize workflows, enhance operations, and align with organizational objectives.

6.0 Monitoring and System Improvement

  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement, suggesting upgrades and best practices.
  • Stay updated on Salesforce releases and new features to recommend and implement improvements.

REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Solid work experience of 1–2 years in Salesforce administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in software engineering, information technology, or a related discipline preferred, but not required.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required.

COMPETENCES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in Salesforce tools such as Flow Builder, page layouts, objects, reports, and dashboards. Strong understanding of Salesforce sharing and security models (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel for fieldwork and other external engagement activities.
  • Experience with gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
