Founded in 2002, Platinum Credit has a vision to provide Emergency Loans to salaried and self-employed customer. We finance all Civil Servants, employees of selected private sector companies and the business community through a wide range of products.

Job Summary

To evaluate and approve loans within loan limits by reviewing applicants’ financial status, credit history, and property used as collateral.


Requirements

  • Completion of the WRP cognitive assessment.
  • Age not exceeding 29 years.
  • Completion of the self-paced soft skills training under the Enable Project
  • Graduation within the past 2 years.
  • MUST be part of the Work Readiness Project/Enabel graduate placement

Description of Core Duties

  • Detailed description of the main tasks performed by the job holder
  • Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
  • Contact prospective customers to present information and explain available services. Explain technical product or service information to customers. Contact current or potential customers to promote products or services.
  • Develop prospects from current commercial customers, referral leads, or sales or trade meetings. Identify potential customers.
  • Make presentations on our products to groups and individuals to attract new clients. Deliver promotional presentations to current or prospective customers.
  • Analyse applicants' financial status, credit risk, and collateral to determine the feasibility of granting loans.
  • Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' loan application documents, credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
  • Review and update the credit and loan files of the client.
  • Compute loan schedules as required.
  • Work with clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals.
  • Collect payments when they fall due and remind clients when the payments will fall due
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers who have delinquent loans.
  • Preparing and interpreting own report

Education, including specialized training

  • Knowledge of customer service principles

Experience

  • At least one year of relevant work experience, six months of which must be in a sales position.
  • Knowledge of office administration

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

Accountability and Responsibility

Supervision  

  • The nature of supervision the jobholder receives, how independent he/she works, and how closely his/her work is supervised
  • The role requires a high degree of independence with medium supervision.
  • Other times, the role may require frequent interactions with the Team Supervisor and is held to account through results and agreed on key performance indicators

Accountability

  • Extent to which the jobholder is expected to make and take decisions and what level of accountability has he/she for these decisions

Responsibility 

  • The jobholder's responsibility over data or information (particularly access to and custody of such data or information) and sensitivity/confidentiality of such data
  • The jobholder's responsibility over assets (value and type of assets that the jobholder is responsible for, including spending limits)
  • The jobholder's responsibility over people

Other responsibilities.      

  • The safety of company assets at the branch is highly needed.
  • To participate in branch meetings.
