JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary:

Norvik Enterprises Limited is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to maintain the computing environment by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring network performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for computer and printer hardware, CCTV, and all company applications, including configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain server systems (Linux and Microsoft), LAN, and WAN solutions.
  • Implement and enforce internal computer systems security.
  • Administer Domain Controller, Active Directory, Firewalls, and Routers.
  • Implement and maintain up-to-date backups for servers and applications.
  • Test and implement software patches for all applications, including third-party software.
  • Build, implement, and periodically test disaster recovery plans for ICT systems and infrastructure.
  • Advise on the procurement of software, hardware, and other ICT accessories.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all ICT systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues encountered by users.
  • Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems.
  • Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
  • Create and verify data backups; resolve help desk requests.
  • Upgrade systems and processes for enhanced functionality and security.
  • Administer infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, and malware protection software.
  • Review application logs.
  • Protect organizational data by maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in a similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Managerial and leadership skills.
    • Practical knowledge of CCTV management, firewalls, software, hardware, and networking protocols.
    • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
    • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
