JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
Norvik Enterprises Limited is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to maintain the computing environment by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for computer and printer hardware, CCTV, and all company applications, including configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and maintain server systems (Linux and Microsoft), LAN, and WAN solutions.
- Implement and enforce internal computer systems security.
- Administer Domain Controller, Active Directory, Firewalls, and Routers.
- Implement and maintain up-to-date backups for servers and applications.
- Test and implement software patches for all applications, including third-party software.
- Build, implement, and periodically test disaster recovery plans for ICT systems and infrastructure.
- Advise on the procurement of software, hardware, and other ICT accessories.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all ICT systems and infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for hardware and software issues encountered by users.
- Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems.
- Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
- Create and verify data backups; resolve help desk requests.
- Upgrade systems and processes for enhanced functionality and security.
- Administer infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, and malware protection software.
- Review application logs.
- Protect organizational data by maintaining confidentiality.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Managerial and leadership skills.
- Practical knowledge of CCTV management, firewalls, software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
