Background

Vaal Real Estate Uganda Limited is seeking an IT Support Officer.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for hardware, software, network, and access issues.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes, escalate complex issues to IT Manager.
• Install, configure, upgrade, maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices.
• Perform scheduled system maintenance, updates, patches, antivirus, performance checks.
• Support LAN, wireless connectivity, internet services, basic server access.
• Manage IT helpdesk system – log, track, prioritise, resolve within SLAs.
• Support user lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding, accounts, access, passwords).
• Provide end-user training on systems, applications, cybersecurity awareness.
• Enforce IT security standards, access control, data protection, device security.
• Maintain IT asset registers, system documentation, configuration records.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend technical solutions or improvements.
• Support IT projects: system upgrades, software rollouts, infrastructure improvements.
