Sinopec Service is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.
Job Summary: We are looking for an IT support officer with hands-on experience in hardware and software installation, maintenance, network troubleshooting and internet connectivity management. You’d be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of all IT systems and providing technical support to staff. Knowledge of Chinese, though not a primary requirement, is an added advantage for this role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software and network issues.
- Ensuring proper functioning of internet connectivity and network infrastructure.
- Coordinating with the procurement team to ensure laptop/computer maintenance.
- Informing staff of best practices for device maintenance and general IT best practices.
- Documenting and maintaining detailed records of technical procedures, configurations and solutions.
- Keeping up to date with new technology trends and IT solutions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Ugandan native.
- At least two years work experience in the IT field.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting common IT hardware, software and network issues.
- Strong understanding of internet connectivity and network configuration.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of IT security practices is an added advantage.
- Fluency in Chinese (spoken and/or written) is an advantage but not a primary requirement.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to provide support across departments
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (added advantage).
