Job Summary: The IT officer will monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of the company. They will be responsible for installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults and solving technical and applications problems. They will ensure the correct running and maintenance of IT systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Providing technical support across the company
• Setting up accounts for new users
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
• Testing new technology
• Possibly training more junior staff members

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The candidate should have a degree in any of the following; Computer Science, Computing, Engineering
• A technical, logical thought process
• Problem-solving skills
• An ability to stick to strict deadlines
• An ability to prioritize and delegate

Desirable:

• Proven work experience
• A keen eye for detail
