JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
The Applications Administrator is responsible for providing support for the core Banking Applications - T24 and related applications including, accounting, HR Systems and other third- party systems. The role also involves analyzing Business requirements, developing, coding, installing, maintaining software systems and support the existing Business applications.
Key Result Areas:
• Act as first line support for all application issues.
• Document all operational procedures and keep the departmental operating instructions updated at all times.
• Maintain a Knowledge base of all known application issues.
• Define and document User Acceptance Test (UAT) case scenarios/ plan for application fixes in liaison with business function and ensure all application changes are change managed.
• Fully support the business with the application parameters maintenances adhering to the parameterization change process, Calenderer maintenance EOD/ EOM/ EOY/SOD processing
• Amend data anomalies resulting from system malfunction and service requests upon necessary authorization and change management.
• Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code Requirements Life Cycle Management
• Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features
• Design creative prototypes according to specifications
• Perform unit and integration testing before launch
• Provide guidance to the business functions in identification of needs and definition of requirements.
• Provide support in Project management, Business case development, analysis design staged of system implementations.
• Participate in User review sessions and User acceptance session to ensure that the solution delivered is in line with the business requirement
• Conduct functional and non-functional testing
• Identify and resolve operational problems
• Trouble shoots and diagnoses problems.
• Implement security standards (access controls, segregation of duties, usage and exception monitoring)
• Identify and manage the resources necessary for all stages (planning, design estimation, execution) of systems development projects to ensure technical, financial and quality targets are met.
• Test solutions in the test environment and deploy solutions to production.
• Provide support in database management, administration and maintenance
• Monitors and supports alternative delivery channels performance and ensure agreed upon uptime is achieved.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field
• A minimum of 3 years in systems development and applications support
• Sound Knowledge of API Banking Technologies Demonstrated abilities with source control systems and team collaborative software/database development and knowledge management.
• Experience with database support and development tasks in both a transactional and DSS environments.
• Experience in Dot Net (C#) and/or Java/Java based Application Development; Jbase & T24 Programming
• Strong knowledge of Oracle / MS SQL / Sybase databases.
• Knowledge of programming in SQL, PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Experience within a technical support environment, including Database administration, core banking applications and other software experience.
• Sound Knowledge of API Banking Technologies Demonstrated abilities with source control systems and team collaborative software/database development and knowledge management.
• Experience with database support and development tasks in both a transactional and DSS environments.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
• Proven ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks
