This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online of 22-Jan-2019 on-line and on the African Development Bank Group's Internet Website

The Republic of Uganda through the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Agricultural Value Chain Development Programme - Project 1. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Procurement of Works for Construction of 4No. Proposed Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centers in various districts in Uganda.

The Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries now invites sealed bids from bidders for execution of the works for 4No. Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centres, ie.
Lot 1: Soroti Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centre,
Lot 2: Nakaseke Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centre,
Lot 3: Busunju Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centre and
Lot 4: Rubona Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centre. involving
• Administration block
• Staff Accommodation
• Tyre and foot wash
• Loading and officeding ramps
• Spray race
• Camle crush
• Livestock infrastructure
• fencing

Access roads, external works and landscaping @Mechanical and electrical reticulation and site works
The period for completion is 18 months including defects liability period of 9 months Bidders shall provide evidence satisfactory to the Employer of their capability and adequacy of resources to carry out the contract effectively

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Uga 100,000 (Liganda Shillings One Hundred Thousand)

The provisions in the instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the PPDA Bidding Document for the Procurement of Works under Open or Restricted Bidding. September 2019

There shall be a pre-bid meeting at the AVCP Project-1 Boardroom, 2 Floor-Trust Tower, Kyadondo Road-Nakasero 10.00 AM on the dates indicated in the proposed schedule in this notice

Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 11.00 am on 28" June 2024 and must be accompanied by a bid security(es) of
• Lot 1: Soroti Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centre of UGX 62,000,000
• Lot 2: Nakaseke Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centre of UGX 62,000,000
• Lot 3: Busunju Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centre of UGX 62,000,000 and:
• Lot 4: Rubona Zonal Animal Diseases Control Centre of UGX 62,000,000 or thier equivalent in a freely convertible currency

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend at 11.30 am on 20 June 2024 at the offices of Procurement and disposal Unit, Ministry of Agriculture, Animal industry and Fisheries.
