About Organisation:

Watoto Church Ministries has experienced exponential growth over the past couple of years, comprising multiple Celebration Centres (Campuses) and diverse Community care initiatives, including Child Care, Neighbourhood, Education, and FM Radio, among others.

Job Summary: To implement Education and Child development interventions for children and households to ensure access to quality learning, protection and overall well-being.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support in the identification, assessment, and enrolment of mothers and children into the program and partner schools.
  • Implement case management for mothers and children in accordance with the established guidelines.
  • Develop and implement case plans, update case files and education records, and maintain accurate case documentation.
  • Identify, report, and manage child welfare and protection concerns.
  • Track and document learners’ academic progress and implement targeted learning support interventions.
  • Conduct home and school visits to support retention, progression, welfare, and document dropout reports and take action.
  • Support the mobilisation, enrolment, and implementation of the Neighbourhood Children’s holiday Programme (NCHP).
  • Coordinate the capacity building of staff through management of training schedule and identification of resourceful persons to facilitate.
  • Support caregivers with basic guidance to help children’s education and development.
  • Collaborate with Discipleship and family life workers to train caregivers on positive parental guidance to promote children’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Participate in community engagements to establish and strengthen collaboration with partners.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the role should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, or any related Humanities field.
  • Additional training in child protection, case management, or safeguarding is an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of work experience with children and families in a community or school setting.
  • Proven experience in case management processes and in working with vulnerable children.
  • Proven experience working alongside schools, caregivers, or community structures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and data management tools.
  • Understanding of ethical standards, data protection, and quality assurance in monitoring and evaluation practices.
  • Must have knowledge of the local language.
  • A committed, consistent, and discipled Christian who demonstrates spiritual maturity and active engagement in discipleship, aligned with Watoto values.
