JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, Sharing and Reporting (Impact & Learning) Manager to design, implement and manage a comprehensive Impact and Learning strategy, system, tools and processes.
Your role will support our team to ensure data-driven decision-making, foster learning across projects, initiatives, programs and teams, and communicate results to stakeholders effectively, supporting our organisation’s commitment to doing and doing better to maximise our impact and better serve our clients and customers.

 

 

We have built a lot of experience in working with entrepreneurs, supporting them to grow their businesses. Our goal is to be the program implementation partner of choice for enterprise development projects and programs in Uganda. You and this role will play a key role in ensuring this

Responsibilities
Impact Strategy Development and Implementation.
● Develop and execute the Impact and Learning Strategy in alignment with SHONA’s ambition, goals and objectives.
● Establish systems and processes for data collection, analysis, learning, sharing and reporting.
Impact System and Tool development
● Design and implement Impact and Learning tools, frameworks and databases
● Ensure systems are user-friendly, scalable, and adaptable to evolving business needs Impact Data collection, Analysis and Reporting

 

 

● Lead data collection efforts across projects, initiatives and programs. You will be supported by
the various project teams to collect this data.
● Analyse data to assess performance, outcomes, and impact.
● Prepare high-quality reports for internal and external stakeholders
Learning and Knowledge Sharing
● Facilitate learning sessions and knowledge- sharing events
● Promote a culture of doing better(continuous improvement) across the organisation

 

 

● Drive cross-thematic learning to deepen expertise, inform strategic decision-making.

 

 

● Lead efforts to capture insights and innovations that position SHONA as a thought leader in our thematic areas.
Collaboration and Capacity building
● Collaborate with teams to integrate Impact and Learning practices into their workflows.
● Provide training and support to staff on Impact and Learning processes and tools.
Doing whatever it takes to support the work of SHONA and the businesses we work with: We are a small entrepreneurial team that steps up when there is work to be done. At times, you'll be expected to work outside of just your role to contribute to our team's overall efforts.
Essential
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Business Administration, Economics,
Social Sciences, or a related field.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in MELSR roles, preferably within business support, development programs, or SMEs.
● Proficiency in MEL tools, techniques, and data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, Power BI).

 

 

● Experience creating different types of reports including full reports, knowledge briefs, visualised reports and more.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Experience in knowledge management and organizational learning.
