Overview:
HVAC Mechanic
The HVAC Mechanic is experienced in all phases of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating. This individual inspects, repairs and maintains HVAC systems in addition to maintaining parts, supplies and equipment. Responsible for following the operational and departmental guidelines, and for meeting all regulatory and compliance requirements, e.g. OSHA.
In addition to High School Graduate or equivalent, 1 year post-secondary/vocational training in air conditioning, refrigeration, math, physics, chemistry, and basic mechanics is preferred (but not required) .
If a candidate has experience with direct digital controls (DDC) that would be preferred but not required. Universal certification preferred. Journeyman's license for Heating Vent and AC must be attained by the end of the first year of employment.
This position requires an On- Site work location. Company vehicle provided at worksite. Best suited candidates: VA and NC residents near Eliz City and Moyock area. Work area services: Chesapeake (VA), Elizabeth City and Moyock, NC

Education
- High School Diploma or
- Trade School
- One (1) post-secondary/vocational training in air conditioning, refrigeration, math, physics, chemistry, and basic mechanics is preferred.
Certification/Licensure
- VA or NC Driver's License
Experience
- 1 year post-secondary/vocational training in air conditioning, refrigeration, math, physics, chemistry, and basic mechanics is preferred but not required .
- 3 years HVAC exp required
- A preference for candidate with experience with direct digital controls (DDC)--but not required.
- Universal certification preferred.
