About the Role

Our client in the oil and gas sector-Waste management field is looking for a proactive and experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR functions for our operations in the Tilenga region. This is a crucial on-site role that involves managing all aspects of human resources for a team of approximately 50 employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general HR practices, with specific experience in the waste management or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all on-site employee concerns and inquiries, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding new hires.
  • Payroll Management: Accurately and efficiently process payroll for all on-site staff.
  • Policy and Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce company HR policies and procedures in line with national labor laws and regulations.
  • Performance Management: Support and manage performance appraisal processes and provide guidance on employee development plans.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer and manage employee benefits and compensation.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs for staff.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as an HR Manager or HR Officer.
  • Specific experience working in the waste management or a related industrial sector is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing HR functions for a workforce of approximately 50 or more employees.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll management and general HR duties.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work and reside on-site on a rotational basis.
