JOB DETAILS:
Role: Human Resource Manager
Location: Uganda
Salary: UGX 9 million
Responsibilities
a) Resourcing
• Ensure all vacancies are filled timeously
• Train and coach RGMs to use the selection tools
• Ensure on-boarding for all new staff is effectively executed
b) Building People Capability
• Drive the internal talent pipeline for the stores that puts the right people in the right place and builds our bench strength across the respective areas
• Build RGM and Area Coach capability through great coaching
• Develop creative solutions for people development
• Ensure the management optimums are achieved with the right management team in each restaurant
c) Culture
• Championing the bringing to life of the brand ‘How We Win Together’ Values throughout the organization
• Drive an engaging culture for all Team Members, hold quarterly Culture forums with Culture Ambassadors
• Work with Operations Manager, Area Coach, RGMs and Worker’s Representatives to analyze People Survey results and develop action plans, embed action plans.
• Embed the People Promise (EVP) in the organization
d) Reward
• Manage the annual pay review process
• Confirm staff remuneration to ensure accuracy in monthly pay – allowances, bonuses etc
• Communicate any changes on compensation and benefits to staff as required
e) Business Partnership
• Participate in the development of the Operations Strategy and implement HR action plan
• Provide specialist advice to the Management team on HR and related business issues
• Support the Operations Manager to manage any under-performing Area Coach and/or RGM
• Manage the Annual People Planning Review process for the business
• Coach and support Operations Manager, Area Coach and RGMs on employee relations issues
• Manage and maintain industrial peace in the organization
f) HR Administration
• Ensure all leave types are managed within the Leave Policy and reduce exposure on the Balance Sheet Communicate all company policies and ensure compliance
• Ensure OSH action plans are implemented
g) Industrial Relations
• Manage and maintain industrial relations with the company
• Ensure effective procedures are followed
• Administration of grievance and disciplinary hearings
• Represent the company at dispute, mediation arbitration.
• Ensure compliance of legislation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
• 5+ years' experience in Human Resources in an FMCG industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in training managers and employees
• Ability to travel to travel a lot
