JOB DETAILS:

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives is a government ministry in Malawi responsible for promoting and facilitating trade, industrial development, and cooperative activities. The ministry aims to create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, attract investments, and enhance the competitiveness of Malawian products and services.

Specific Responsibilities and Qualifications for the Listed Positions (Based on general understanding of similar roles in government ministries):

Responsibilities:

o          Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.

o          Manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.

o          Oversee employee 1 performance management and development.

o          Administer employee benefits and compensation.

o          Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

o          Manage administrative functions, including office management, procurement, and logistics.

o          Provide guidance and support to staff on HR and administrative matters.

Qualifications:

o          Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field.

o          Master's degree is an added advantage.

o          Extensive experience in HR and administration, preferably in the public sector.

o          Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.

o          Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
