JOB DETAILS:
Position Purpose:
To develop and implement HR systems aligned with university policies, strategic plans, and Ugandan labor laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent acquisition and onboarding
- Performance/reward management
- Staff training/development programs
- Compliance with labor laws/university policies
- Benefits/compensation and payroll management
- HR information systems implementation
- Discipline management and exit processes
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's in HRM, Business Administration (HR), Industrial Psychology, or related field
- Master's in HRM or related field (or Master's + Postgraduate Diploma in HRM)
- Professional HR certification (added advantage)
- Experience:
- 10+ years post-bachelor's HR experience
- 4+ years in senior HR management (large reputable organization)
- Skills:
- HRIS management and computer literacy (MS Office)
- Leadership, negotiation, and decision-making
- Knowledge of Ugandan labor/employment laws
Competencies:
- Integrity and confidentiality
- Strategic planning and organizational skills
- Stress management and attention to detail
- Financial management knowledge
Employment Terms:
- 4-year renewable contract
- 6-month probation period
