Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced Human Resource and Administration Manager to work in Uganda.
Job Purpose:
Human Resource (HR) Manager is involved with recruitment, training, career development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, industrial relations, employment law, compliance, disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancies etc. The job involves keeping up to date with all related labor laws of Uganda.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handling employment relations issues such as grievances and employee welfare.
- Leading the recruitment process, including selection and interviewing of candidates.
- Collaborating with other managers in the company, to ensure the smooth running of the company from a people perspective.
- Partnering with senior operational staff including the General Manager to establish and roll-out people-related strategy.
- Overseeing staff attendance and absence monitoring.
- Providing detailed HR reports to senior management teams.
- Administration of employee-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, new starter packs, or formal notices of termination.
- Leading new starter company inductions.
- Performance management and evaluation
- Managing talent pools and succession plans to ensure the company can continue to operate in the future.
- Overseeing training and development of employees.
- Administering financial elements such as payroll, compensation and benefits, and pension schemes.
- Counselling and guidance of the staff
- Handling highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy way.
- Any other duty assigned from time to time.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree from a recognized university in the fields of human resource and/or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in the field.
- A degree of master in Human Resource or any other related field is an added advantage.
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office,etc)
- Good knowledge of the labor laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Presentation, analytical and writing skills
- Negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of how a business works and an HR function operates.
