Client Brief:
Our client is a Ugandan NGO whose goal is to provide long-term sustained funding for biodiversity conservation and environmental management. It has an established valued Niche in Conservation Financing, which consists of the development and promotion of Cutting edge conservation initiatives, Managing grants on behalf of donors, Establishment of Payment for Environmental Services Schemes, Building public-private partnerships and Land Trusts.
Position Summary:
Our client is currently seeking applications from very dynamic self–driven professional to join their team. The will be responsible for managing the Human Resource and administrative function of the organization.
Key duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of a functional Human Resource Management System
- Coordinate employee Sourcing, assessment & deployment for staff and oversee the Technical Associates Programme
- Ensure effective implementation of the HR Policy including overseeing regular reviews and evaluation of the effectiveness in line with HR best practices and company’s business strategy.
- Oversee the assessment for the Impact of the Organizational Development (OD) Strategies and Staff Welfare Schemes.
- Oversee the management of the company Staff Performance and Development Strategy,
- Supervise the administrative function of Company at all sites
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum academic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any science or social science or arts subjects from a recognized university of recognized standing.
- Post Graduate qualification in HR Management or Organizational Psychology
- Professional affiliation to Human Resource or Organizational Development bodies an added advantage.
Knowledge & Work experience
- At least five (05) years working experience in the same position
- Knowledge of Computer applications like word processing, spreadsheets and data analysis as well as desktop publishing, internet, and e-mail
Other Requirements & Personal Attributes
- Good organizational, attention to detail and coordination skills; ability to work calmly under the stress of conflicting deadlines and assignments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise good judgment and maintain complete confidentiality.
- Flexible in approach and receptive to new ideas and ways of working
- Good communication skills
