Summary:

To support this goal, we seek a proactive and detail-oriented HR Business Partner to support day-to-day HR operations. This role involves executing core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance. The role requires ensuring smooth HR processes while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Brief Job Summary:
Your mission will be analysing HR metrics, conducting research on workforce trends, and providing recommendations to improve HR policies and processes.
 

Key Duties & Job Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, shortlisting, interviews, and selection.
  • Conduct employee onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and reports.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, resolving HR-related issues effectively.
  • Support conflict resolution and grievance handling in line with company policies.
  • Assist in organising employee engagement initiatives and team-building activities.
 
HR Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records, contracts, and HR databases.
  • Process payroll inputs, leave management, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to labour laws and company policies.
Performance & Training Support
  • Support the implementation of performance management processes.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating training sessions.
  • Maintain training records and reports.
 
HR Reporting & Data Management
  • Prepare HR reports, including recruitment, turnover, and employee trends.
  • Ensure HR data accuracy and confidentiality.

Person Specifications:
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
Years of Experience:
  • 2-4 years  in HR generalist experience
Skills required to perform the Job: 
  • Proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, SQL, and data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau..
  • Proficient in Uganda labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, Google Suite
  • Organised and detail-oriented.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a proactive approach.
