JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment in residential, commercial, or hospitality settings. This role involves performing cleaning tasks, ensuring hygiene standards are met, and providing exceptional service to clients or guests. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Sanitizing:
o Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
o Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
o Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors.
o Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.

Linen and Laundry Care:
o Change bed linens and make beds.
o Wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and towels as needed.
o Ensure clean linens are stocked and organized.

Restocking Supplies:
o Replenish toiletries, towels, and other guest supplies.
o Monitor and report low inventory levels to the supervisor.

Maintenance and Reporting:
o Inspect rooms for maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks) and report them to the supervisor.
o Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report malfunctions.

Customer Service:
o Respond to guest or client requests promptly and professionally.
o Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor at all times.

Compliance:
o Follow health and safety guidelines, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
o Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus but not required.

Skills:

o Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
o Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

o Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 25-50 lbs.

 

 

o Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.

Work Environment:
• The role involves working in various settings, such as hotels, offices, or private residences.
• May require standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.
• Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
