Job Summary

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers, managing seating arrangements, and coordinating guest flow within the café.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests courteously upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and walk-in customers.
• Escort guests to their tables.
• Coordinate seating to maximize customer comfort and operational efficiency.
• Answer customer inquiries about the café and menu.
• Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods.
• Assist guests with special requests where possible.
• Ensure the reception and waiting areas remain clean and presentable.
• Coordinate with wait staff regarding table availability.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and refer complex issues to management.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Customer Service, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Smart, well-groomed, and professional appearance.
• Friendly personality with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
