Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients and their loved ones when they come for appointments
  • Answering phone calls and emails from patients
  • Filing medical records and other documents
  • Keeping the front desk organised and running smoothly
  • Scheduling appointments and follow-ups for patients
  • Calling patients to remind them of their appointments
  • Using a computer, medical office software, and other technology to keep information organised and up-to-date
  • Assisting patients with filling out forms and answering their questions
  • Keeping the waiting and reception areas clean and inviting
  • Contacting insurance companies for authorisations.
  • Maintaining a working relationship with the medical receptionists at other medical offices or departments
  • Verifying financial records and ensuring every client has paid

Requirements and skills

  • Diploma in medical records or any other related qualification
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent customer care and communication skills
  • Shows excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Possesses strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Management of records, both physically and electronically
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Fluent in local languages.
