About the job

The Role

The successful post holder will carry out duties involving direct patient care as delegated by the registered nurse. The post holder will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.

What We'll Need You To Bring

  • Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
  • Required to undertake on the job training and induction
  • Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.

It would be great if you also have

  • SVQ2 in health care or working towards this.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Training in physical health checks in areas such as blood pressure monitoring / venepuncture
  • Experience of direct one to one care
  • Experience working in health care role/setting
  • Aware of current developments in community care

This role will be based in Treatment Room/Phlebotomy within Coatbridge Health Centre
