Job Title: Health & Nutrition Officer (01position)
Position Type: Full Time National Staff
Location: Lamwo
Reports to: Program Area Manager
Contract Length: 2 Years (Fixed)
Start Date: To be hired on rolling basis

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Program Area Manager, the Health and Nutrition Officer will ensure the Health and Nutrition project is implemented in line with FH’S H&N technical program and strategy. Provide training and technical assistance to Care groups, VHTS, and exhaustively monitor project implementation. This includes conducting surveys and assessments to determine training needs, mobilizing and sensitizing communities and stakeholders, forming participants’ groups, designing and conducting training of project participants in Essential Nutrition Actions, essential Nutrition Practices to ensure successful implementation of the project according to project design document and result framework.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Key Result area #1: Project planning and implementation
• Key Result area #2: Management of Maternal child health nutrition
Key Result area #3: Integrate Maternal child health and adolescent nutrition (MIYCAN) in health facilities

Education & Experience
• Degree in Food Science and Technology degree; Public Health or Human Nutrition or Postgraduate qualification in the fields above highly desired.
• Experience in health and nutrition assessments and working in a humanitarian context.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in similar setting required.
A good communicator, strong oral and written communications skills desired.
• Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
• Must have motorcycle riding skills with a valid and clean permit and be willing to access communities by motorcycle Language
• Proficiency in any language spoken in the local community and written English is a Must.
