Job Overview

The Head of Sales and Marketing will oversee and drive the sales and marketing strategies for the textile manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing plans to achieve company revenue goals, expand market share, and enhance brand visibility in the textile industry.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

1. Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to meet business objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Set annual sales targets and marketing goals, and develop plans to achieve them.

2. Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing teams, including hiring, training, and to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing accounts.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Allocate resources effectively and ensure team members are equipped to meet their goals.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, provide regular reports, and adjust strategies as needed.

3. Sales Growth and Revenue Generation

  • Oversee the development and execution of sales strategies for the different products and channels.
  • Manage key client relationships and negotiate high-value deals.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Follow up on prospects, develop offers and schedule one-on-one meetings with customers to present the appropriate solutions specific to their needs.
  • Follow-up of potential prospects and ensure closures of offers made.
  • Solving all post-sales queries or concerns of customers
  • Maintain Documents of the complete lead journey on CRM for records
  • Identify prospective customers by researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Send reports on a daily/weekly as per the management requirements.

4. Marketing Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and event- based strategies to promote the company’s textile products and brand.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, websites, and social media content.
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate with advertising agencies, media outlets, and other partners to enhance brand visibility.
  • Manage digital marketing efforts, including social media, SEO/SEM, and email marketing campaigns.

5. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Develop customer loyalty programs and initiatives to enhance long-term partnerships.

6. Brand Management:

  • Develop and maintain a strong brand presence in the market.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing channels and sales efforts.
  • Address any brand-related issues or customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Manage the company’s public relations efforts and represent the company at industry events and trade shows.

7. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee customer feedback mechanisms and address issues to improve the customer experience.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback to ensure high levels of satisfaction.

8. Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure that activities are cost-effective and within budget.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to sales and marketing activities.
  • Ensure all rent dues are collected in time.

9. Product Management:

  • Collaborate with the product development team to align product offerings with market demand and customer needs.
  • Analyze product performance and market feedback to inform product improvements and innovation.

10. Sales Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Use data and analytics to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Textile Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is an added advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a proven track record in the textile or manufacturing industry. Experience in a senior management role or leading a team of sales supervisors is highly desirable.
