Description
Position: Head of Security and Vigilance
Reports to: General Manager-Finance and Administration
Department: Finance and Administration
Purpose:
Responsible for the entire Brookside Limited security posture, supervision and provision of professional security services by the contracted security firm.
Key Result areas:
- Responsible for the company’s entire security posture i.e. physical security of employees, facilities and assets at all times.
- Ensuring the provision of security services as required by the contracted firm, plus the supervision of the officers under you.
- Reviewing and improving the security environment, systems and practices for Brookside Limited at the milk chilling centres, ware houses, depots etc.
- Overseeing and monitoring facility access including entrance of employees, visitors, vendors and vehicles.
- Inspecting facilities and property for security and fire hazards, theft, vandalism and illegal activity in and around the facilities and reporting variations.
- Making periodic patrols during non- working hours to ensure that buildings, offices, and properties are properly secured, noting any unusual situations and calling for police response if necessary.
- Supervising and monitoring CCTV system.
- Overseeing maintenance of security records and examining the gate registers to monitor traffic flow, goods etc in and out of the company premises.
- Ensuring that all items received after normal working hours are kept safely.
- Preparing incident, weekly and monthly reports.
- Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by your immediate Supervisor.
- Any other duties as may be deemed by the supervisor.

Knowledge/Qualifications and Experience
- A degree or it’s equivalent in business-related disciplines from a recognized University/Institution.
