Description

Kai Bar and Restaurant is an upcoming, high-end bar and restaurant located in Ntinda, Minister's Village.

On behalf of Kai Bar & Restaurant, we are seeking an experienced, disciplined, and highly professional Head of Security to lead all security operations within the establishment. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests, staff, company assets, and premises while overseeing the security team, managing risk, and maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the security team to ensure effective coverage during all operating hours.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor security procedures, access control measures, and incident response protocols.
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, company assets, and the premises at all times.
  • Oversee crowd control, access management, and security arrangements during peak periods and special events.
  • Investigate and document security incidents, disturbances, theft, accidents, and policy violations.
  • Coordinate with management and relevant authorities on security matters when required.
  • Conduct regular security inspections and identify potential risks or vulnerabilities.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate security personnel to maintain high performance and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable security, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare security reports and provide regular updates and recommendations to management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in security operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Experience in hospitality, entertainment venues, hotels, bars, restaurants, or similar high-traffic environments is highly preferred.
  • Security management training or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent observation, risk assessment, and incident management abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment under pressure.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and special events.
