We are recruiting!
Our client in Mbarara, Uganda in the dairy industry is recruiting for a Head of Sales with experience in sales and business development in East Africa. The ideal candidate will oversee the sales, marketing, and expansion of dairy products into the East African market. The ideal candidate must also have at least 8 years of experience in sales and marketing in Uganda/East Africa consumer markets.

Responsibilities
• Develop sales budgets in line with company vision and growth projections
• Develop strategies for executing and achieving set sales revenue targets
• Manage the retail sales function of the business
• Manage and account for stocks assigned to sales function
• Solicit for sales orders and contracts with potential customers
• Timely collection of sales debts
• Timely Respond and resolve customer complaints
• Maintain customer experience through team member interaction and store presentation
• Execution of company merchandising
• Supervise actions of the retail sales associates within his/her department
• Prepare cost analysis, quotes and profit calculations
• Maintain knowledge of new products and research, primarily computer systems
• Endeavor to meet and exceed team member expectations by providing department and service teamwork
• Maintain confidentiality of company and all customer information
• Represent company in areas of public relations like trade shows, parades, etc.

• Assist training of all employees in maximizing sales, and performing daily tasks
• Oversee preparation of displays, merchandise, and presentations
• Coordinate the flow of goods from the stock room to the sales floor, and do merchandise replenishment
• Develop and train retail sales team members by conducting daily sales observations, weekly report card sessions and weekly sales meetings
• Oversee and ensure compliance of all staff with established company policies.
• Prepare product performance reports weekly and monthly
• Submit daily sales report
• Develop SOP’s and Implement FSMS in the department
Requirements
• Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Business studies or any other related field
• Experience in sales of Finished consumer goods most preferably milk products.
• ISO22000 FSMS internal audit certification.
• Min 8 years in the Ugandan/East African local/consumer market.
