Job Summary:  The Head of Operations oversees the day-to-day activities of the organization to ensure efficient operations and delivery of products or services. They play a critical role in optimizing processes, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement to achieve business goals.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize productivity, minimize costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to ensure efficient use and allocation.
  • Streamline business processes, workflows, and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain product/service excellence.
  • Lead and mentor operational teams to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, sales, and marketing, to align operational activities with business objectives.
  • Evaluate and implement technology solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and automation.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management roles, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or retail industries.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address operational challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in operations management..
