AKES, U operates schools from Pre-School to High School and offers the British National Curriculum (BNC), International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the Uganda National Primary and Secondary curriculum.

Job Summary:   AKES, Uganda is currently seeking to recruit a Head of Operations to for AKES, Uganda, which operates three schools in Uganda. The Head of Operations will oversee and guide the work of the Facilities, IT, Procurement and Human Resources departments at AKES, U and will ensure the efficient day-to-day operations, policy and procedure development, and strategic directions for these departments.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold an MBA.
• At least five years of relevant work experience.
• A background and qualifications in Finance and Accounting will be an added advantage.
• Should have an experience in an educational setting in international schools,
• Must have a strong inter-personal and communication skills, as well as cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Should have an experience in managing and guiding new facilities projects as well as managing routines facilities works,
• Should have a good knowledge of IT network infrastructure and current trends in educational technology,
• Should have an experience and knowledge of Human Resource management and policies,
• Should have a ability to guide procurement for cost-efficiencies and timely turn-around.
