JOB DETAILS:
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Prepare financial statements and accounts, manage and analyze balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Manage and oversee the daily financial operations including: Monthly and end-year process, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, fixed assets register, bank transactions and relationship.

• Ensure accurate posting of all expenses and preparations of all associated reports.

• Prepare monthly financial and performance reports, for group consolidation and financial control purposes.
• Control stock
• Monthly stock reconciliation
• Coordinate physical stock counts
• Establish quarterly consolidation reporting : Intercompany accounts reconciliation and prepare excel/consolidation software statements
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles (archiving, procedures…)

• Establish and develop financial control tools, files and procedures, as well as tax studies.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions, in collaboration with our tax consultant.

• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Cooperate with the headquarters to maintain and further improve the softwares and other financial IT tools
• Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments in policies and procedures.
• Coordinate the external audits.
• Cooperate with the Group internal audit team in the identification of areas of risks, as well as the identification, the implementation and follow up of corrective actions.
• Responsible for ensuring the risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational for the Group.

• Provide leadership, guidance, direction, management and support to the finance team (accounting, treasury and financial control).
• Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement within the finance department.

Profile :
• Proven working experience in a similar role (Head of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, or Head Accountant) for at least 5 years, particularly within a commodities trading company.
• BSc (or more) in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree. Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations, including IFRS.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data, and to direct, supervise and report in due time.
• Fluency in English (reading and writing).
