Your mission as a Group Finance & Administration Analyst
We are seeking a Group Finance & Administration Analyst to join our finance team who will play a key finance operations and analytical role and who will be responsible for maintaining financial and administrative integrity across all Hatch Africa holding entities based in Mauritius.

The role combines financial record-keeping, regulatory coordination, and group-level analysis support. It is ideally suited to someone highly organized, methodical, and capable of building and improving streamlined processes across administrative and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Bookkeeping

  • Develop, implement and maintain accounting policy and processes (SOPs) for Mauritius entities in compliance with IFRS, Group policy and local regulatory guidance.
  • Maintain accurate financial records on both accrual and cash basis.
  • Manage and reconcile sub-ledgers, general ledgers, trial balances, and prepare monthly management accounts on a timely basis in accordance with Group policies.
  • Maintain and update relevant schedules and trackers including but not limited to investment and loan schedules for funders, investors, and related parties, and technical assistance grant tracking
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions monthly and annually to support audit and financial consolidation.
  • Coordinate and support external and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate data submission.
  • Prepare financial reports for investors, grant providers, and lenders.
  • Liaise with suppliers for timely payment processing and with debtors for collection of outstanding funds.
  • Establish and maintain a streamlined payment process and ensure payment initiation for director approval and compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.
  • Lead the administrative management of the overall group finance data filing system including conducting monthly monitoring checks for compliance and completeness and proposing changes in the folder structure to the CFO.

Administrative & Secretarial Coordination

  • Serve as liaison with appointed company secretaries and legal representatives to ensure regulatory compliance such as  timely statutory filings and license renewals (FSC, MRA, etc.)
  • Maintain a compliance checklist for statutory and tax filings and track timely completion by third-party service providers.
  • Maintain mirror records of secretarial documentation, including share registers, board resolutions, statutory filings, and contract trackers.
  • Coordinate the preparation and support documentation for shareholder and board resolutions.
  • Coordinate and maintain dividend payment processes and legal documentation.

Group-Level Support & Analysis

  • Provide financial and operational analysis support across the group as needed.
  • Engage with banks to secure competitive rates on products such as fixed deposits and foreign exchange and support the CFO in overseeing treasury operations, including liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, and optimizing returns on idle funds.
  • Support on group-wide initiatives, including new projects, systems improvements, and strategic reporting.
  • Contribute to building and optimizing processes and systems that improve efficiency, clarity, and compliance.
  • Assist in group-level contracting processes by organizing templates and maintaining key documentation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key company business partners (including Country Finance leads, operational teams, MDs, auditors and investors).
  • Support on investor and committee materials as necessary.
  • Support on investment and fundraising processes, such as gathering required due diligence (DD) materials and designing a streamlined process to gather/share requested data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations.
  • Strong understanding of Mauritius regulatory environment (FSC, MRA, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Xero and DEAR systems).
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, structure, and streamline workflows.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to solving problems and improving systems.
  • Must be able to exercise a strong degree of professionalism and be able to manage data of highly confidential information.
