The Opportunity

Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Global Digital Supporter Acquisition Specialist in London, UK or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office worldwide.

Role Purpose:

Save the Children is in the middle of an ambitious 2022-24 strategic plan that looks to significantly increase our digital reach and engagement and build a Movement of Millions to achieve our programmatic and advocacy goals.

Both raising funds and engaging with our supporters through campaigning in digital channels are key to delivering the strategy.

This role sits in the GlobalDigital Engagement Team, a virtual team, which provides strategic support and specialist technical guidance to our 27+ Members, most of them in Asia, Oceania, Europe and the Americas. This team also focuses on reaching new audiences and fundraising remotely in a list of new key markets.

This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Digital Fundraiser with experience working within a global organization to join the team and help us scale up our digital fundraising to attract, inspire and engage a higher volume of supporters, who are critical to achieve our ambitions for children.

In coordination with other specialists in the Global Digital Engagement Team, the Fundraising Hub and other SCI departments, the post is responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing global digital acquisition and paid media strategies for Global Campaigns and Projects
  • Supporting Members to strategically achieve significant sustainable income growth
  • Supporting our remote digital fundraising program (Non-member markets program)
  • Promoting innovation: Leading the Global Digital Innovation Fund and participating in the Global Crypto Group.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder may be expected to work outside the normal job description and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

This role will involve the opportunity to travel to support the set up and optimization of digital acquisition strategies in new markets as well as more established fundraising markets and to run in person International Skillshares.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Demonstrable high level knowledge and at least three to five years of experience designing and implementing directly digital paid media programs in Google AdWords, Google Display, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram Ads, prospecting and retargeting Display networks, etc. in the profit or non-profit sector (ideally both at client and agency side).

Proven success in delivering these programmes with demonstrated financial results.

  • Experience implementing Google Analytics (including E-commerce module) and analysing the data provided by this tool.
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills would be an asset
  • People’s management skills.
  • Capacity to build and maintain excellent relations and to work effectively in a multicultural and multi-ethnic environment respecting diversity

Desirable

  • Experience working internationally in a support role to a diverse range of fundraising markets
  • Senior experience developing successful fundraising programs
  • Experience optimizing donation pages and web conversion rates
  • Experience leading SEO optimization projects
  • Proven project management skills delivering complex projects on time and on budget with a strong knowledge of all the financial aspects of digital fundraising/marketing including analysis of costs/income, ROI, conversion and donor/client retention data and all other relevant KPIs.
  • Strong personal, organisational and self-management skills; with an ability to lead and work in teams and motivate others
  • A self-starter using initiative to see opportunities to achieve objectives in this role
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong IT skills particularly in Microsoft products
  • Ability to articulate the work of Save the Children with passion
  • A willingness to travel to support members directly or to relevant events as required.
