JOB DETAILS:
Qualification:
• BSc or MSc degree in Geophysics
• Demonstrated team spirit, solidarity, good communication skills, commitment & efficiency, work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
• 8 years of experience as reservoir Geophysicist with practice in the following competencies:
1. seismic QC, seismic processing/inversion, structural interpretation, Time-to-depth conversion, well preparation, uncertainty analysis, reservoir characterization.
2. Exposure to headquarter studies, affiliate environment and well operations.
3. Experience in Overburden/Cap Rock monitoring is a plus.
Job activities:
• Work with Ops Geology, Geologists, reservoir engineers and drilling teams.
• Have a good understanding of seismic QC, seismic processing/inversion, structural interpretation, Time-to-depth conversion, well preparation, uncertainty analysis, reservoir characterization.
• Participate in the Well SORs preparation in close collaboration with the geologist, reservoir engineers, Operation Geology & drilling teams (objectives, well trajectory, target box, section TD criteria, data acquisition).
• During drilling operations, ensure the most appropriate support on geophysics and seismic interpretation to safely deliver the wells and achieve their objectives.
• Ensure good communication with Ops Geology, geologist, reservoir engineers and Drilling teams.
• Ensure the pertinence of the geophysical data and apply the best practice in managing these data, together with the Geoinformation team.
• Ensure the integration of the wells results during development drilling campaign; assess the impact for the following development wells design, update the reservoir models.
• Contribute to the documentation and reporting required by the Local Authorities (PRR, ARR, …)
• Propose continuous improvements on the way the team (2G) works.
• Coach less experienced Geophysicists.
• Participate in the activities related with geophysics of the non-operated assets (Kingfisher)
• Follow up the geophysical-related studies carried by the Technical Line in HQ.
• Participates of the Geophysical workload necessary to meet the project Geosciences (2G & R) macro-objectives.
• Follow-up the drilling operations to ensure an efficient placement of the 426 development wells.
• Perform structural interpretations of the subsurface and the associated uncertainties together with geologists.
• Participate in the 2G interpretations and the associated uncertainties assessment.
• Participate in the baseline monitoring of the reservoirs, cap rock integrity studies and communicate any variations.
• Participate in the project’s food-print & GHG emission activities
• Propose improvements to achieve Project goals and helps in its implementation
