Role Purpose
The General Manager (Ground Handling & Cargo) is responsible for creating, managing and executing strategies for overall country operations and is ultimately accountable for ensuring improvements in productivity and rapid growth of the business. Furthermore, this role is responsible for identifying the overall business capabilities required for consistency, efficiency and collaborative implementation of operations and services.
What You Will Be Doing
- Deliver the highest quality of operational standards for all services at country level, as per airline standards and mutually agreed SLAs.
- Manage activities of assigned personnel, exercising administrative & financial authority.
- Ensure operational integrity performance for country's SPI (safety performance indicators) and KRIs (key risks indicators) as per company QHSE standards & norms.
- Ensure implementation of required manual and standard operating procedures, incorporating client airline manuals and procedures.
- Ensure overall compliance of all processes to reduce the number of incidents/accidents.
- Manage and assume accountability for QHSE & security guidelines and norms for effective implementation of integrated quality, safety, security and environment management system.

What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or related field, MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years' aviation operations experience in a management role
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills and timely decision making.
- Leadership as well as team-building skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills and local language as indicated.
- Excellent knowledge of ground operations management, vendor relationship management, procurement, and local regulations
