Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Liability Complex Claims Specialist to join our team! This role a key contributor responsible for efficient resolution of CGL, Cyber (first and third party), and Tech E&O claims on a global basis. Responsibilities include agent/broker communication, collaboration with underwriting on new and renewal accounts, and internal communication of claims to senior management.

This role can be remote anywhere in the United States

Key functions of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Direct handling of CGL, cyber (first and third party), and tech E&O claims from initial notice through claim resolution
  • Appropriately manage through coverage analysis, investigation, damages evaluation, reserving and resolution within authority on all claims
  • Work with 3 rd party vendors where needed to better manage a claim
  • Prepare Reservation of Rights and Coverage Denial letters and other coverage correspondence, as may be appropriate
  • Handle investigations and analyze coverage and coordinate all aspects of claims settlement process
  • Report high exposure claims to senior management through large loss reports, claim committee presentations, and other appropriate communications
  • Communicate with underwriting on losses and exposures that may impact the company
  • Communicate with brokers on claims, reserves, coverage issues and investigative needs
  • Collaborate with underwriting on new and renewal accounts, complex risks, and business development
  • Share industry knowledge and claim perspective internally and externally through webinars, lunch and learns, and industry events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of CGL claims resolution experience or equivalent litigation management experience
  • Cyber and Technology E&0 claim experience a plus, but not required
  • Your communication style is flexible to the situation; you communicate clearly and with a purpose
  • Calm under pressure; you have excellent organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks; you are comfortable challenging norms while working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • You have a strong sense of accountability, fun and adventure
  • You have a proven track record of building and maintaining strong business relationships with insureds, agents & brokers
  • Natural curiosity; you love learning how things work and you are always looking for innovative improvements
  • An analytical mind; you love to dive into the details of claims
  • Ability to travel for mediations, broker visits, insured meetings - this may include overnight travel

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees including:

  • Base Salary Range: $72,000 - $156,000
  • Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
