JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary: The Financial Analyst is responsible for identifying financial performance, trends, financial risks and making recommendations. S/he assists with financial planning, budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements, developing financial models, as well as preparing and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. The Financial Analyst contributes to the accomplishment of organizational objectives, including profit maximization, correct pricing of goods, Opex optimization, budgeting, and working capital management
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation of annual/quarterly business plan as well as the annual operating plan presentation
- Performs replacement margin reported by business units and selling price adjustments and discusses it with line manager
- Works closely with the team to calculate and discuss savings from planned initiatives for each category, value chain, and value Stream and review it with line manager
- Assists in working capital management for the value stream and reviews with the line manager by optimizing the level of working capital (i.e., Inventories, Receivables)
- Prepares a monthly flash report within 3rd working day and review it with line manager
- Prepares a monthly business performance presentation for each category/value stream and business unit to ensure that selling prices provide the targeted margins
- Prepares a monthly business Opex analysis and ensures that it is reported to management yield/production losses and communicates with operations and manufacturing management
- Reviews the landed-cost-matrix to ensure correct material costs are recorded in the system as well as updates standard costs for inventories
- Prepares annual/quarterly budgets that include volumes, revenue, cost of production, opex, and net contribution by category
- Analyses the price purchase variance (PPV) and price exchange variance (PEV) Standard cost revaluation released in the profit and loss account, as well as evaluates and reviews the capital proposal with the line manager
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting
- 1-2 Years working experience in a similar role in Food and Beverages Industry is an advantage
- Accounting Professional Certifications, i.e. ACCA, CMA, ICWA, CA, CPA are preferred.
- Understanding of SAP ERP is an added advantage.
