Job overview
We are looking for Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise to a fast-paced and growing organization. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s financial records in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting decision-making, and driving strategic financial planning.
Key responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, and cash flow statements) in compliance with accounting standards.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and all necessary adjustments and accruals are made.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, ensuring all balances match between the company's financial records and external reports.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies. Prepare and submit necessary regulatory filings.
- Audit Coordination: Work closely with internal and external auditors, ensuring that all financial data is accurately presented and assisting in the audit process.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and support better decision-making.
- Internal Controls: Ensure the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Qualifications and experience
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. Professional certification in Finance and Accounting (CPA/ACCA)
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting and management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of taxation laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Organization skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
- Technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
- Team player: Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify discrepancies or errors and assist in resolving them efficiently.
