On behalf of our client in the Warehousing and Transportation sector, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Finance manager based in Kampala to work at site

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A business degree or any other relevant degree
- Fully qualified (CPA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or in the advanced stages of completion.
- Above 7 years of working experience
- Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data, identify trends, and develop insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey financial information to various stakeholders.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and motivate a team of finance professionals.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about financial matters and contribute to long-term planning.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve financial issues and challenges.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using financial software and tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience with the Big 4 audit firms would be an added advantage
Requirements
KEY RESULTS AREAS
- Developing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and analysing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Preparing and presenting clear and concise financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Design and implementation of effective financial processes and controls
- Managing the organization's investments, ensuring optimal returns and minimizing risk.
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks, ensuring the organization is adequately protected against potential threats.
- Ensuring adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and other relevant legal requirements
- Managing and mentoring finance staff, overseeing their performance and development.
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management and the board to support strategic decision-making.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes and controls.
- Managing the organization's cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operations and investments.
- Interaction and management of suppliers/consultants and customers
- Interaction with internal and external auditors
